  • New - Spyker based - Vandenbrink Fra Mauro

    http://www.vandenbrinkdesign.com/?page_id=147

"Project ‘Fra Mauro’ is a hardcore sports car with a jet fighter inspired body, made out of carbon fiber. The new coachwork is designed over an aluminium ‘tub’ chassis originating from a highly exclusive brand. It is fitted with a very reliable 4.2 Liter V8, located behind the seats.

The base car of this project has won several prestigious awards by the press and industry and together with Vandenbrink’s all new and lightweight body design this car is going to be something very special."

The basecar has got to be a Spyker: Look at the interior: You can even see the shaft of the exposed gearlinkage that only Spyker uses...

Looks absolutely smashing, I think it's a more mature design than regular spykers, I'll have one!

Very nice design. I like the double bubbles. Look forward to see it in full 3D 360degrees.
        Front reminds of the Elise?

Funny you mention that. I think the side reminds a bit of the Lotus Evora. I don't like the overall design of the Evora, but I love the overall design of this Vandenbrink

Am I not seeing a picture here? Or are you referring to the full front picture, where you can see a tiny silver spec between the seats?

I saw a whole discussion on some Lotus site, where the majority was of the opinion that the donor car would indeed be a Spyker, but where there was onlyl one very persistent member who argued it was the Evora.

Does the Evora have a V8?

                        Engine: V8, 4.2 Ltr / 450+ hp
