    Any way your can get some heat into it? Please do NOT point a blow torch at your car on my advice... but maybe there's a way to localize some heat into the shaft/nut, or use heated blankets etc. May just make a small difference.

    Try to use WD40. It might will help.

I am afraid I have no pictures of that event, but found similar ones. In Zurich "Enge" for example, in 1894 they used 1,000 schoolchildren to raise even the largest bells (together 16,000 lbs) all the way up to the bell tower. See pics....

    ... what can we learn from this?
