Ferrari is on to the F12 Berlinetta at this time, the 12-cylinder coupe that will replace the 599. It was unveiled at Pebble, and is quite good-looking in person.
I was glad to be able to show my car at the Quail (#227 above). Thanks for the plug, Justice. A custom ordered McLaren took the (super car) class. I spoke with the guy - nice guy - the main thing he did with the car was order a bunch of carbon fiber and orange accents on his car. Looks nice but, well, its not all that unusual these days (there was another burgundy McLaren there). Another white 599 owner came up to me and made me feel good by saying, "Too bad a mass produced car was the winner - your car was better." McLaren is mass produced, hah!
Anyway, the Quail was nice. I may head up to Hillsborough this weekend but they don't allow cars newer than 1987 so I guess it will be all "vintage".
I gotta say - I'm still getting used to driving the car. Checking the oil is not for the faint of heart. I had my son spend hours cleaning the aluminum and I worked on the glass. Still extremely hard to get the glass on the inside of the windshield clean!
