The REFUSE sign is indeed very droll and quite a contrast to Dylan's depiction of his father, whom he saw as a man possessing the traits of all men. In the last two lines, Dylan assigns all stanzas of the poem to his father when he said wise men and wild men, "Do not go gentle into that good night" and good men and grave men "Rage, rage against the dying of the light":
And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Dylan saw his father as a wise, wild, good, and grave man.
