So, I got the Lotus out of our snow and ice covered driveway, and over to Tom's garage. Today we took the hardtop off, and had a look at all the goodies we are going to install this week.

Tom and I spent the day registering the Lotus and started to add the goodies. That is, Tom does the work, and I hold the tools for him. But, I put the rear license plate on all by myself:lol::lol::lol:
The carbon fiber mirrors were a very bad fit. "We" had to modify the holes, the bolts (had to go out to the hardware store to get stainless metric bolts), the footplate etc. and we spent 4.5 hours to get on one outside mirrorRijk

The Micro mirror is great. I had that one also on my previous Elise. The standard mirror is smaller now than the original US spec mirror, but the difference is still amazing. If you are more than 6FT (1.80m) tall this is a must, since the mirror is in the line of your forward vision.Attached FilesRijk

Four point seat belts and second carbon fiber mirror are in. The second mirror was even more off than the first one. The dirty footprints under the seat are factory original.Rijk

Very Scary.
Do you mean hopeless as in "driving in snow and/or poor weather conditions" or are you referring to them as no good at all (even in dry weather)?______
