#034 - C8 Double 12S - The Russian DuoPenotti car

I checked the entire register, but apparently this one does not have it's own thread yet. Amazing that this Double 12 is the most photographed one, and we still don't know it's VIN!

I wonder if it has the VIN in the bottom of the front window. Or is that only for the American market?

Anyway, here's a few good pics, again from Nicolas. Cheers!

Spotted in Monaco

hello,

we had this car in switzerland for repair last year, its VIN is...006 which is strange because it is already used by one of the factory race car.

He Alex, thanks for the info. That's indeed strange! I would have guessed for an early VIN, as this car was spotted already some years ago.

Have you seen the pics in the spotters thread?

If this information is correct it can only mean one thing:

The Double 12R Racecar was rebuild after it's last race into this road legal Double 12S...

Is this the DuoPenotti car? Because if it is, I guess the VIN is #034! Look at the handle of the glovebox.

Ha! Very nice touch. Stupid how it always lies in the details, that have been under your nose for so long

It sure looks like it, it has the DuoPenotti colour combo. Do you know at what auto show this is? Then you can "cross-reference" with other pics to see which cars were attending the show.

I pulled a few more pics from the Russia thread, so we can keep things together.

I will post some more pics tonight of the interior.

Nnow I'm gonna check my photo-library for all glove-compartment shots!!

I suspected it, and I have checked my files: The following were taken at AutoRai 2005 in Amsterdam. This must be where Peter took this picturel

Yes, this is the DuoPenotti car
