i had one of those in my first Spyker, 038. It is the air intake in the older cars and is located in the front of the car behind the fans. It is a royal pain in the ass due to the placement of it--directly above the wheel nut, tool kit and battery. later designs did away with this obnoxious thing.

        obnoxious??

#007 has this air intake, and I think it is very cool. Looks racy.

Where do the later cars get air for the airco/heater?

I mean the black cilinder with "only by qualified personel".
It's indeed on top of the seatbelt connection but what is the function of this black cilinder?

Is it a pre-tensioner? I don't know whether spykers have them

Obsolete if you fit the four point harness.

                      Look like a seatbelt tensioner......

I want to replace the regular seatbelts for 4 point seatbelts so I was looking how to takeout the old seatbelts. It looks like there is also power going to the cilinders. Therefor I don't now if I can take away these "things".

So this is also for me: "guess the part"

Tom (member toliveri) did replace the belts with 4 point harnesses for Rijk. So he should be able to tell.

The pre-tensioners that are bolted on the seat frame can come out when you take the chairs out.

IIRC, there was no "fasten seatbelt" connection, so the wires will just come out.

Even after taking out the leather covered rear wall panels, you cannot get to the roll-up mechanism of the standard seat belts. They are in (behind?) the fire wall.

                              Ok, thanks guys.
But first I need the new seatbelts.
And that is not so easy also.

Any idea when you can finaly put those ugly yellow plates on your car?

PS Can you have the smaller America style plates on your car? If I remember correctly your car was first registered in the US?
