Nice story. And I agree, as a real roadster the Spyder looks better

Took #153 out for a drive yesterday. So nice not to have that ragtop bar behind my head. I noticed every time I looked over my right shoulder to change lanes..."Man, that's better!"

I also finally took care of my squeaky clutch pedal with a little lube. No longer sounds like I'm stepping on a duck every time I shift.

My neighbor saw me getting the car ready for a drive and came over to ride shotgun. Once upon a time he had been in discussions with Victor to open a Spyker dealership in Toronto ... small world. He really enjoyed the ride (his 1st!) and when we got back, he said "Thank you, I will never forget this."

The shorties arrived! Many thanks, Rijk! I owe you a beer (or ten).

That will make them the most expensive screws in the world

I take it you are talking about the screws on the shim plates. Don't force it, they are just too long. Next weekend I can look if I have some shorties for you.
Yep, sorry - I was referring to the shim plates. If you find some proper fitting shorties, I'd be very grateful.

Not the best pic because lighting in the garage is dim.
