... we should indeed get a Spyker meeting during the total solar eclipse of 2017. It is hard to imagine the type of exciting photos made possible during those few minutes: Spykers lined up, doors open, and the eclipse!!! The chances are good to see it, particularly in a dry Summer climate location and, of course, within the narrow strip of totality. See map below. The question is, who could do the meticulous planning for this? It may be very crowded in popular, or easy to access places! Should we plan a kind of a rallye? Note: it is very important to be within the totality area!

... there are the following states in the path of the totality: South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon. For details and maps, see here.

Selection criteria are now up for discussion, please! What are chances to have a sunny day? How crowded would it be? Take Nashville TN. Where could we imagine a gorgeous rallye? Perhaps Wyoming? Or Eastern Tennessee? How would we make sure, a number of Spykers would actually get there?

... now the likelihood for good weather conditions. Best seems to be Oregon.

This is very exciting. Our son Max is at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. August 17 is his first day after summer recess. What a start of the school year
