The photographs in the previous post are of #001, which is restored to her formal glory. The photographs in this post are of #008, the first and very special Double 12S, which was used to homologate the Double 12R(ace). This one has the 600HP BMW based race engine, built by Heini Mader. The oil thins when it gets too hot and you can abrade the sides of your cylinders, eventually wearing through them. Best not to ignore the oil temp light if it goes on!
