    The photographs in the previous post are of #001, which is restored to her formal glory. The photographs in this post are of #008, the first and very special Double 12S, which was used to homologate the Double 12R(ace). This one has the 600HP BMW based race engine, built by Heini Mader. Was once kept in the office of his loving owner but has now been released

    I had a wonderful time with you fellow Spyker enthousiasts and owners! Interesting lecture about the barnfind 1906 Spyker, sweating in the Aileron and after that a nice dinner, Great day thanx all! Here are some pictures forummember Spyker 240 made:

    The oil thins when it gets too hot and you can abrade the sides of your cylinders, eventually wearing through them. Best not to ignore the oil temp light if it goes on!

    ... I saw high oil temperatures sometimes, too. And my car is still running ! See for example here.
