This chinese 'aubergine/tan' car would be #018.
No side indicators on this car

Seen in person as this car is currently being prepared in Zeewolde. Including a new hard top made for this car.

So the Spyker that was used for the 2004 Peking to Paris Challenge #007 - C8 Spyder (post #126, #127 and #129) is #018.

Would be a good idea. But does this mean that #007 was never in China?

My thoughts exactly, so i popped the question.
They confirmed #007 has also been to China.

The only difference with #018 optically (outside) are the side-indicators. Look for those in pictures from China......

But quite some time ago we found #018 allready: #018 - C8 Spyder Black/Red

The New York International Auto Show, where the black one appeared was held in april 2004 and Auto China, where the aubergine one was displayed was held in july 2004.

I guess it is possible, although unlikely, to repaint and refurbish a Spyker within that time frame...

That is strange! How sure are we that the Aubergine/Tan C8 is indeed #018? Because on the Black/Red car we can see the VIN...

I saw #018 written on the new (blanc aluminium) hardtop on that car in Zeewolde last week.

We discussed the car as it was trollied out to make space for #007. The chinese sister of #007 being prepared for a new customer.

The other car's vin plate does seem to have the last #018 digits as well

I have no further explenation for this occurrence. We'll have to examine this further during our factory visit..
