Found this rather disturbing photoset with this particular photograph...
spyker-c8-double-12-07b.jpg spyker-c8-double-12-07c.jpg Although the VIN can not be read entirely (although I guess it could be with some good photo software), the 3 in front of the Z suggests Modelyear 2003 Also of interest is the "C8 D12S COUPE AUTOMATIC" on the VIN plate, suggesting that this Double 12 was fitted with an automatic gearbox. Link to a photoset in highres. If some one could reveal the complete VIN that would be highly appreciated !

Interesting photo! I can't get any better results with my own photo software, so now it's indeed a bit of guessing
![]() However, the first guess of "XL9GB14C63Z363059" is probably incorrect, as the Check Digit (the 9th digit of the VIN) is not correct. And when you look at all the other (known) Double 12 VINs, they all have correct check digits ... So, can we assume that this part of the VIN is "clear": XL9__14C63Z363059 ??????? IF the fourth digit is indeed a "G", a correct VIN will be: XL9GF14C63Z363059. IF the fifth digit is indeed a "B", a correct VIN will be: XL9HB14C63Z363059. And if the fourth and the fifth digit are both unknown, we still have approx. 20 possible VINs ... So, it's still a lot of guessing ...

Ah thanks Evandaalen, I forgot to check my guess.
However I think you can safely presume the letter in front of .14C63.. is a B. Yesterday I also tried to fade the 9 from the end of the VIN onto the third digit. This is what I got: 059 VIN copy.jpg It's not that clear on this picture but while fading XL9 seemed like a perfect fit. So that leaves only the 4th digit unknown. It could be a B, G, maybe even an H..

OK, if we then assume that the VIN is XL9_B14C63Z363059, then there are only two valid possibilities:
XL9HB14C63Z363059 XL9YB14C63Z363059 I would vote for the first one ... But again, still a lot of guessing here!

I received another photo from the back end of #059 from LavioletteGT2R.
059 achterkant.JPG This is what I made of the VIN plate: 059 vin nieuwe aangepast.jpg As you might see, the beginning of the VIN is now clear. I'm reading: XL9HB14C**Z***05* And then compare with what we already had, you'll see that they match. 059 VIN copy.jpg So full VIN is XL9HB14C63Z363059 (Exactly what Evandaalen gave as a good possibility!)
