Tijdens een test op Paul Ricard is de Speedy Spyker C8 Spyder GT2R uitgebrand. In de laatste bocht vatte de auto vlam en door de harde wind, was er snel niets meer aan te houden. Coureur Andrea Chiesa kon ongedeerd, maar wel geschrokken en met een zwartgeblakerd gezicht zichzelf uit de cockpit redden (bron: Planetlemans).

During a test at Paul Ricard the Speedy Spyker C8 Spyder GT2R burned down to the ground. The car caught fire in the last bend of the track and the fire, helped by the wind, soon raged out of control. Driver Andrea Chiesa managed to scramble out of the car safely but was obviously destressed and had a black face. (source: Planetlemans.)

@Reddingius, I don't think that is was #193 that caught fire today. Although Speedy Racing was testing with this car the livery (paint) of the car was orange/grey just like the Spyker Squadron cars. So I think they "borrowed" a car from the factory.

I think this is #097 or #098.
