Saab is a heritage brand, with roots in Airplanes as well. I am excited about the idea, if for nothing else than to piggyback some of Saab's logistics...

According to Swedish newspapers, Spyker/Convers is the buyer of choice.
After this week, GM wants further talking with only 1(possible) buyer. And Spyker is favorite. di.se Anyway, today Spyker reconfirmed their interest in Saab. An interesting thought: what if Convers pays for Saab in Spyker shares? With so little 'free float' a stock-listing would no longer be justified.. Or am I wrong?

It´s pretty sure BAIC will buy the technology behind the 93 and 95. This probably would have happened too with the ´koenigsegg´ deal. Parties in race for the entire brand are private equity firm The Rengo Group, investor group Merbanco and the Spyker team.

Victor Muller said talk that China's BAIC had agreed with General Motors [GM.UL] to buy some of the Swedish company's assets was "good news" for the Dutch firm, as he described those assets as equipment for old Saab models.
"We're still in the middle of discussions," Muller told ANP-Reuters by telephone. (source: Reuters)
