The Spyker Aileron looks fabulous in real life. One of the details I hadn't realized before is that the complete window in the door can be opened on this model.

Almost two weeks later and crawling from under a huge pile of work, I also have to give my compliments to Hans van Rennes. It's fantastic to see the passion and enthusiasm about Spyker I already witnessed with Victor. It was simply great and I really feel privileged for having the Spyker stand tour from Hans! ... historically, red is the racing color of Italy (Alfa Romeos, Maseratis, Ferraris etc), dark green England (Bentleys, Jaguars), light blue France (Bugattis), dark blue Scotland, and white (later silver) for Germany (Benz, Auto Union, Porsche). There may still be an influence of this on what we like today...

The Italians started with black though as their nation's racing color. They nicked red from the Americans later on.
