Spyker C8 Spyder Supercharger Project

VF Engineering in Anaheim designed and installed a supercharger system for the C8 Spyder SWB. #083 was the lucky recipient of the supercharger. We tested the car at Willow Springs on the track May 12 and final changes were made based on the data collected.

Final testing took place June 1 at Laguna Seca. The car was also tested extensively on some of California's finer back roads and the results were excellent.

The car has gained an additional 100 HP at the rear wheels, and the torque band is now broader, starting about 500 rpm lower than previously. The power is smoothly delivered and there are no driveability issues. The car handles the additional power very well under all conditions. It makes the car more driveable and responsive under performance conditions, for sure.

The car shrieks like a banshee when the accelerator pedal is depressed forcefully, then takes off like a scalded cat!

Here are a couple of videos that show some of the testing June 1. The second really captures the engine and exhaust notes.

Congrats OntheLam! Very Cool. You made one angry beast of your C8 !
Did you change the air intakes/radiator as well? Now you just need to get one of these 'supercharger' badges

Very cool.

What group do you run with at those tracks? I know Laguna Seca can be hard to get into.
