Hello! New Member - W/ Spyker NYC Party Pics

Hello! Found this forum browsing for more info on Spyker cars, lots of info here. Even though this was a few months ago, I thought I would share some pictures from the NYC Spyker C8 Aileron launch party with you guys. Hope you enjoy

----------------------

Had the chance to check out Spykers new C8 Aileron last night at the Classic Car Club in Manhattan. First time I've been that close to one of these cars and I have to say, its absolutly stunning. They had a few of the other models there as well so it was nice to see the entire line-up along with the new one.

And this morning I had the chance to take a few of the models for a spin. Started out in the new C8 Aileron. Very nice car but after that I jumped into the drivers seat of the C8 roadster. What a fucking car. So raw, so race-car like. No driver aids to save your ass and the sound... I want. Would kill to get one on the track, it felt like an elise on steriods waiting to be unleashed. For those of you that have tracked it... what did you think? I wanted to push it but traffic on the west side hwy wasn't having that, and either was the Spyker rep to my right I'm sure.

Thanks for the welcome!
That day sold me on the Spyker for sure.
Always thought they were just another "pretty" poser car, boy was I wrong.
Now I've seen the light

Whitlock, your sentiments echo my own Sypker evolution.

What comes next?

Ownership.

I can only agree. Some people look at the car, and I believe nobody stays untouched. The money can be prohibitve, the design style is not everybody's bread, some find the interior overdone, yes, but there is a small crowd like us, that falls for it! It took me almost a year from the first sight (Geneva Motor show 2005) to the actual decision...

On the other hand we are lucky: Female Hollywood stars or pop singers exist only as 1 individual, probably terribly difficult to maintain, always busy with themselves, and they are not approachable, even though everybody knows them... Spyker cars are still affordable, and they wait in your garage until you need them. The "head turning" factor is about the same...

.... keep us updated, Whitlock!
