  • #049 - C8 Spyder Blue / Pharaoh

This early C8 Spyder was unfortunately, as far as I know, only spotted in this depot...

Another set of this Spyker, which is located at Sliedrecht, the Netherlands:

When going through my Spykerbrochures I discovered an interesting photograph. When looking closer, I could see that on the left upperside of the window of all the Spykers in this photograph, the VIN is written with a white marker. I made a photograph of the photograph in the brochure for you to see:

        Foto0501_p.jpg Foto0501_042.jpg

There's quite some quality loss but 042 is still visible. Unfortunately we allready had #042... The rest is much more difficult but from the photograph in the brochure I could see that the Blue Spyder is #049 and the black one next to her, #053 (we allready had this one). The Basic Instinct II Limited Edition Laviolette starts and ends with an 0 (we allready knew this one was #060) and the Double 12 Spyder behind the Laviolette ends with a 6 (we allready knew this one to be #066).

To make a long story short: I think the Blue / Pharaoh Spyder in the brochure is the same as the one in this thread (with a few updates like the new seats with the three point seatbelts instead of the four point harnasses and the Aeroblade wheels) and therefore is: #049

Impressive, Mr. Sherlock Holmes ! I think you are right. The gaps for the three point seatbelts are in place already so replacing the seatbelts would have been easy. Same goes of course for the Aeroblades. The license plate holder is the same as well. Good to see we are figuring out those early cars.

image_16264.jpg image_16263.jpg image_16262.jpg image_16261.jpg Although the price tag says it is "VIN 048" I would guess this ist #049? Pictures found in carpassion.com, car was for sale at Retro Classics Stuttgart last weekend (sadly I couldn't be there this year).

Biting the back of my hand...I have a "Pharaoh" interior as well and I *need* that steering wheel !!! I guess if I buy the whole car, I get the wheel for free. :^)

This Spyker is not listed (yet?) at ER Classics.com and this one looks indeed like the one we have as 049 and not like the one we have as 048? And yes, it has the prop(ell)er steering wheel!

Just got a reply from the seller that this Spyker was never registered and has only 28 Km. on the odometer. Also the VIN is not #048 but #049. Asking price: €315.000

Shouldn't this be in the for sale thread. Asking price must be a record of some kind?

It is in the for sale thread and it's not an absolute record as Double 12 #101 is for sale for 650K but it could be a record for a Spyder.
